Description Suggest change

An awesome rhyolitic volcano plug situated in the Siskiyou Mtns. with columns that tilt 20-30 degrees to the northeast. Fun climbing with a handful of 2-3 pitch routes. A lot of the routes have loose rock, so a brain bucket is a good idea.

Getting There Suggest change

Take exit 6 from the I-5 freeway. Follow 99 past the Mt. Ashland turnoff and continue under the freeway. Three miles later turn off onto the Pilot Rock Road to the left. Follow the road 2-3 miles until you reach the trailhead. Break right once you reach the base of the rock and the routes will appear shortly.
