Petzl ICE picks on pre-2010 quarks?

Haven't been able to find a definitive answer. Was wondering if the newer petzl quark picks would fit an older quark that takes the Cascade pick? Have read that Petzl has said no, but looking at the two bolt holes, they appear in the exact same place. Is there any reason the new picks wouldnt fit? Perhaps with a bit of modification?

Would love to hear from someone who knows first hand or has tried this, thanks.

They will fit with spacers but there will be a gap at the bottom inside of the head.
