Not to open up the can of worms that is the personal anchor system debate, but what do you guys think of this product from Petzl. Thinking about buying it, convince me yes or otherwise. |

$69.95!!!!!!!!!!!!! Buy a 120cm nylon sling and tie a knot in the middle. |

Used it in some rope access situations. I liked it. Simplier than than other adjustable lanyards (purcell prusik, etc.). |

Steep price to pay for something you can have for much less. Is Petzl trying to make money off of new climbers? Coming up with contraptions that take away the beginners need to learn how to tie knots. Looks cool but who's trying to look cool? |

The single version might be a good adjustable daisy for aiding. |
|
the uses i have seen and heard about are used when aiding. i'm sure there are other uses but thats a steep price for an anchor. |
|
Looks like a pretty nice and simple solution, but much too expensive for my taste. If someone gave me one for free I'd use it, though. |

I use the Connect Adjust for routesetting and for bolting. I love it! The one downside for me is attaching to your harness requires another point - locking carabiner or the like as the sewn loop cannot be girth hitched to one's harness. I would personally find this to be a cumbersome piece of equipment if used for cleaning anchors or as my personal anchor when multi-pitching. |

Do NOT knot dyneema. It is significantly weakened at the knot. |
