I'm proficient and safe, but will max out at 9+ / 10a in Eldo in my current state of conditioning. So, looking for casual climbing but still a little hair-raising :-) . . . . Multi-pitch nice, but not mandatory.

I've met and climbed with some really nice people via this forum, and went on to become friends and more frequent climbing partners when revisiting certain areas. Hope this forum comes thru for me again! (Eldo is one of my favs; but I'm out here in CO with 2 others who will be doing their own multi-pitch that day. Otherwise, we've just been craggin.)

Hey. I probably live in the same world as you. I'm not the best climber in the world nor do I care to be. I care about safety and fun. I have a full rack and might be up for eldo in the am.
Any routes in mind?
Whale's tail 5.2? is a single pitch with a rap.
The bomb 5.4? is 2 pitch easy climbing with a rap down the same route
Swanson's Arete 5.5-5.7? is 3 pitch 5 rap off.

Let me know. I'll check mail in a few hours, going rafting.

mike,
My other prospect changed plans because I was too slow getting back to him. So, I will consider climbing with you. How much experience do you have? Not trying to be a prick, but just some sort of assurance :-)
Yes, I think we have the same attitude on safety and fun, but I like to push my limits. 5.4 is a yawn. 5.7 at Eldo might keep me awake, but barely.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
