Travis on The Hive

Description

This is the LRT's most visited area. The approach cant be beat and the boulders are fantastic. With classics like Tigerside, Beastmaker, Strength Of One, Abyss, The Hive, Honeycomb, and a perfect Warm-Up Wall to get loosened up on... Whats not to love?

The lookout offers visitors a taste of the Highlands, and the boulders start directly beside of it. The Bil-lingual boulder is the first fun problem you will come to from the lookout, and the line of boulders stretch on from there. Either walk on the trail which will lead you directly to "The Room" where you will find the Tiger Boulder and the Beast Boulder, or hug the line of boulders facing the road for lines like Abyss and Strength In Numbers and Strength Of One.

The Hive, Warm-Up Wall, Space Boulder, Foggy Mountain Fin, and the Kung-Fu Boulder are located past the Beast & Tiger Boulders.

Enjoy!

Getting There

Park you car at the visitor Center parking lot. Grab you pad. walk back toward the road to get onto the paved sidewalk that leads to the look-out. Warm up on Bi-lingual...
