| They've mainly been sitting in my gear bin for years and have been placed. I have never fallen on them. That doesn't directly answer your question but I don't know of any quantitative way of measuring sling life. I have no issue climbing on them but I use cams and nuts mainly. | FLAG |

| There should be a year stamp on the dyneema on the slings. And if I am not mistaken, dyneema, like a rope, has a life expectancy to it. But I could be wrong. | FLAG |

| There's no year stamp and Dyneema doesn't degrade over time. Here are some close ups, click the images a few times and you can enlarge the images until you can count the threads. The discoloration at the top of the sling is from the raw BD carabiner. Like I said, they've been placed a few times but otherwise in good shape. You can judge for yourself though. <<< Invalid image id: 107994828 >>> <<< Invalid image id: 107994829 >>> | FLAG |

| NorCalNomad wrote: Well that's false Dyneema degrades from use and UV exposure. There is no indication anywhere that time is a contributing factor to a reduction in the strength of Dyneema. If that were the case there'd be expiration dates on every Dyneema product made and massive warnings everywhere. | FLAG |
