If you have a pad whose best days are behind it, what is the best way to rid yourself of it? Recycle (Where)? Stash in RMNP? (Kidding) Etc...

My friend likes old crash pads for highlining (high slacklining). He just asked us about old crashpads. If you have old pads that are still in one piece, maybe I can deliver them to him in Fruitta.

My kids could use them. If I line my walls with them, maybe my kids will stop breaking their heads open running into them.

But seriously, if the foam is still okay, you could break it up and stuff a bean bag or something.

I have an original Cordless that I keep stuffing with the worn out foam from subsequent pads. It weighs a lot but it's good for dragging up to Germ Free or other HB's with a short aproach. Otherwise I use it for my garage wall.

Revolution climbing offers a pad recycling program. You send them your old pad (you pay shipping costs, likely about $20) They give you a discount of 15% off on a new pad (they pay shipping) and they deal with the recycling of the foam etc.

Though there is no info on the website about this program, I called to verify that they are still doing it and you can check out their pads on the site.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
