Description

Climb from the bottom of the gully up clean rock to the apex of the face, angling slightly right.

The name comes from a bit of litter at the summit.

Location

South of the Funicular Route about 1/3 of the way up. Look for a rocky gully which gives access to the big gully which parallels Funicular. The slab faces downhill (east). Scramble down the gully to the base of the slab and climb back to the crest of the ridge.

Protection

Solo.

Chris, where did you come up with the name? Pretty good stuff.

Just a general reminder: you have to be careful with ropes on Mt. Morrison since it is a Denver Mountain Park and climbing is unlawful. Just don't let anybody see you.

Didn't realize that when I posted this, but I didn't use a rope anyway. Will change the description.

There was an empty beer bottle at the top out. Years ago when I was exploring the backwoods around my hometown and would be looking for a certain rock or other destination I observed that if I was looking for a fairly unknown place I would most likely find empty beer bottles along the way guaranteeing that I was not the first to visit the place.

Same thing happened here.

I finally got around to doing this yesterday. It adds a really good scramble to a Mt. Morrison trip. I also went up the slab just to the east of ORBB. It is a shorter but almost identical one.

I did this one handed since I am recovering from surgery. It was no problem.

The beer bottle is still there, but it is broken.
