Description

The Off Duty area is on the right side of Duty Dome proper, above Fish Wall. The climbs here receive full sun and become scorching hot on a clear summer day. A 60m rope is a good idea, as most climbs at Off Duty require 100' rappels.

Getting There

Hike the approach trail up the gully as if heading to Peek-a-boo tower. Around the elevation of Keen Acres on the right, a faint spur trail branches left to the base of Off Duty. This approach takes 20-30 minutes. It is also possible to scramble to the base of Off Duty from the gully separating Duty Dome and Fish Wall.

This line is the furthest right at Off Duty. Edge past bolts to a wide, broken corner formed by a large flake. Near the top of the flake, make a tricky move left to gain a small dihedral. Smear and edge to the anchor....[more]   Browse More Classics in WA
