Occasional RRG/New England partners...

I recently accepted a job that will require frequent travel to Cincinnati and Lowell, MA (I'm originally from NH, so I'm quite familiar with New England). Wanted to see if there are any experienced climbers that might be interested in showing me around RRG when I'm in Cincy, and hitting various crags in New England (Rumney, Cathedral, Cannon) when I'm in Lowell. Not sure what my travel schedule is going to look like yet, so I'm just trying to gauge interest and get some contact information from potential climbing partners.

Me: Been climbing for 12+ years. Confidently lead sport (5.10-5.11) and trad (5.8-5.10-). Safe, competent, and chill. Will likely not be traveling with a full trad rack/rope, but I'm willing to bring along all necessary sport gear.

PM if interested!

Hi I'm from Lowell and just saw your post. My usual partner is not available to climb this Sat. I was wondering if you were around and interested in getting out. I was thinking either Cannon, Cathedral ledge or WH.

Be sure to check redriverclimbing website for meeting the Cinci area climbers. There are alot of them who come down for 3 day weekends or longer to Miguels.

Andrei...not sure exactly when I'm going to be in Lowell next, but it will probably be sooner than later. I'll hit you up when I know for sure and perhaps we can hook up for some climbs. Is there a gym close to Lowell that you would recommend for some evening burns while I'm in town?

Woodchuck...thanks for the info. I'll definitely check out that site. I am stoked to check out the Red!!

Like Woodchuck said post up on redriverclimbing.com as there are lots of cincinnati climbers on there you could probably carpool with. Its a 2 hour drive so its nice to have someone to split the gas with but you could also just show up at miguels most weekends and find a partner within an hour. As far as gyms go in Cincinnati Climb Time is a pretty chill bouldering gym and Rock Quest is the lead climbing gym which now has autobelays and a decent smaller bouldering wall.

Hey, I just moved to Lexington and am free to climb most days. Give me a shout at supasal@gmail.com. Happy climbing!
