I just got into climbing back in May, have been climbing generally twice a week at(mostly) Hangar 18 Long Beach where I have a membership and occasionally other locations.
I'm hoping to get to where I do the occasional day trip to local spots but haven't been able to make it happen. I have a couple of friends that climb now, but one takes overnighters midweek all the time and the others don't sport climb out doors.
I'd love to find someone that is up for consistently hitting up the Hangar gyms and working in maybe Riverside or something. I'm new to this and the only hear I have as of now is a pair of shoes and chalk bag.

Basically, I want to transition to real sport climbing and not get stuck in the gym forever, buuuut it sort of fits my schedule right now with work and life and budget.

If you can become a good belayer, you will become, well you know usefull, ....

also, when you have that gear, go to Malibux ... Planet of The Apes Wall... very friendly locals, will belay you and TR you...

MB - Send me a PM if you're still looking. I'm old and crusty now but I do know a person or two that is looking for a partner.

Halsne, you have no idea what you are talking about and I would appreciate it if you would stop being so childish. Why can't you just let things be?

When someone gets decked, they're generally going to be a little bummed out about it!
Be glad you're not getting slapped with a lawsuit.

oops, sorry, i think my meta sarcasm was lost... Me and matt are friends, and we actually went to the Quarry, and he actually crushed hard on the routes i mentioned........and I was actually psyched for him... No S talking at all. I love Matty B!

BTW, if you didn't realize, we've both been joking about decking sharma.

I guess its not funny if you have to explain it
