Didn't Tony and Glenn put up these routes ?
Nov 18, 2008
Tony did 3 or 4 routes several years ago. We added a few more with permission. We also need to change some info-- none of the routes are pg and they're 40-50 feet long, short but still fun. I'd also wait for some feedback before giving them any stars.

There's also a 5.7 crack left of Naughty Party Girls. It shares its anchor.
Two of the anchors at this rock are the "cheap bastard" kind -- chains on a bolt with a washer...no hanger.

Feel free to pony up the $13.00 to buy a set of fixe rap rings, then go on out there and replace the "cheap bastard" anchors. Of course by the time you do this on twenty or thirty routes, or in Tony's case several hundred routes, you'll probably start looking for a cheaper alternative also.

Anchors fixed up with Mussy hooks.
Thanks to everyone who puts in the time, effort and $$$ to put up new routes for the community!

Thanks for replacing the anchors Larry. I hope it didn't break your wallet? Such a harsh comment to a person that found this area and has over 200 hangers, bolts and anchors out there. Next time that you make a comment Please READ guideline # 1. Thanks the cheap bastard.

I must apologize for my poor choice of words. I'd hoped the quote marks would soften them, I guess. I still maintain that if you're going to invest the time, material & effort to bolt new routes, that the anchors are no place to cut corners.
Once again, thanks to you, Tony, and the other folks out there putting up routes for everyone to enjoy.

Just for the record washers are used in millions of applications where failure would result in death. The use of washers to hold chain on bolts is fine as far as I am concerned. I only stopped doing it as it took a longer bolt and folks felt it us being "cheap". Worrying about those anchors is akin to worrying that a quickdraw will break. I appreciate that you didn't like them and changed them out Larry.
