| WTF? What is going on around here? Who is the moron chipping trail signs in LCC? <<< Invalid image id: 106379622 >>> <<< Invalid image id: 106379623 >>> <<< Invalid image id: 106379624 >>> This is UNACCEPTABLE! Frame three shows the words HONG/EGG being chipped into the boulder!!! WTF!!!! Truly sad times...even worse is that this seems acceptable to some, even justified or NEEDED. I can't be the only one who feels this way? I repeat...WTF?!?!? (shaking head in disappointment) | FLAG |

| Thanks Tea for posting these pictures. This is exactly what I wrote on the Crescent Crack page. Completely Wrong. To think somebody took the time to sit and chisel this is disturbing. It must of happened at night or in the dead of winter. To the Chiseler(s): If you need something productive to do with your time, participate in trash cleanup along the road. Maybe collect some cans and give the proceeds to the ASCA. There are many things that the climbing community will benefit from. This act of vandalism is not one of them. TDA | FLAG |

It could probably be repaired pretty well with Epoxy and some of the native rock crushed in to replicate the look of the original. | FLAG |

| Well it went pretty good I patched the arrows but still need to patch the words hong and egg. Looks much better and with a little weathering you will never notice it. Some guy came down the trail and could not pick out the arrows at all, but is was a little dark. I got pics but I am trying to remember how to post them. I cant believe this happened! I thought the worst thing I would ever see was the glued on holds in provo canyon. Any ideas WHOO would do this? Nevermind!!!

Consider all my work SLCA/asca projects. We(SLCA) will also be doing a big rebolting project in fergonson canyon soon. If you would like to help out send me an e-mail. | FLAG |

| Thank you Mike White. I will make note to donate to both the Canyon Inn and SLCA on your behalf. I know we haven't agreed on everything, but I must admit in public that you are "the Shite." Sincerly, Troy Anderson p.s. whomever did this deserves a chisel to the knee. Don't forget the uppercut after they bend down to tend to their knee pain. | FLAG |

| Mike, I saw these yesterday and thought that maybe when everyone got together and built the new trail to the egg this was somehow part of it. I'm really glad that it wasn't. Super good on you for fixing this. You're a good man. | FLAG |

| Just be there with cash. I will have a donation can with a display of old mank that has been replaced and some new rock excotica biners, made by the same company that makes petzl biners. This year all donations will go to the SLCA. | FLAG |

| Good job on fixing this Mike, chipping of any kind is not acceptable, chipping on a small boulder on a trail may not seem (to the un-initiated) to be a big deal, but it really makes us look bad - please stop, whoever you are. The gear swap is a great time to donate to the SLCA, but you can actually donate anytime as long as you have paypal: www.saltlakeclimbers.org/donate Here is an example of where SLCA funds are going besides trail work, graffiti removal, garbage removal, latrines in Joes Valley, etc: www.safeclimbing.org/news.htm#slca_donates | FLAG |

| Probably the same person who chopped down the large tree at the top of Bushwhack, you know..the one you used to be able to kick back and relax against while belaying the second up. Now its just an uncomfortable hang. Nice work little bro. I'll send a check your way. | FLAG |

| Wow, this is rather disappointing. Good on ya Mike for the clean up. Besides being an eyesore this could also be considered a crime. The Egg and environs are on forest land. As such, this could be considered destruction of natural resources. | FLAG |

| Well Problem solved. We decided it was better to flip the boulder over rather than leave it patched. Me, my wife Kandice and Jeff Porucznik went up there today and rolled all 3 + tons of that big damn boulder right on its chiseled face. Just a small slca project, But it needed to be done. | FLAG |
