When in the valley, where can I park a car for a few days without it being ticked and/or impounded by the NPS?

Looking in the supertopo it just says park in the overnight spots, but does not say where they are. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

From Mountain Magazine (Bruce Carson's first clean ascent of Sentinal Rock's West Face)

Here is a brief list of good spots.

-Ahwahnee Hotel (for Washington Column, .5 Dome)
-Middle Cathedral pullout (for El Cap)
-El Cap Meadow/along road next to bear boxes (but not until Northside Drive is opened)
-Main visitor parking lot (anywhere)
-The dirt road pullout for Ribbon Falls Wall (again, after Northside opens)

For Leaning Tower park outside the lot. I got away with it once, but it is a $50 ticket for parking in the lots after dusk. Same goes for Manure Pile/El Cap picnic area. You end up getting a federal ticket in the mail "U.S. Government vs. ________" It freaked me out.

you can park by curry village and ride the bus, then hitch to where you need to go. for a beer or other party favors some of the locals will give you a ride!!!!!

remember, its almost always easy to hitch a ride in the valley.
