Description Suggest change

Not really boulders, but more small crags and cliffs. These crags are on the southern hillside of Gold Mountain just NE Big Bear Lake. You can easily see these formations from the road, and they are sunny south facing crags too. Most of the climbs are 25-35 feet tall. The rock is pretty good here, and there are about 30 climbs up on the hillside. A great place to visit for a day or two with fun, challenging, and interesting climbing.

Getting There Suggest change

From the intersection of Highways 18 and 38, drive N for a couple of blocks on Greenway Dr. until it stops at Pioneer Lane. Park here. The closest crag is Big Bubba. There are trails all over the place. Look at the pictures in the guidebook, and hike up to your selected climbs. Basically, most all of the big formations have climbs on them.
