Description Suggest change

These are the easiest set of boulders to approach at Beacon Rock, with the Chris Hill Arete problem within sight of the parking lot. The Minus Man V8 is the hardest problem listed in the Greg Lyon booklet for Beacon Rock and can be found on a nice overhanging boulder deep in the gulley below the North Face and in the middle of the main cluster of boulders. Many of the routes have been reclaimed by moss and many have bad landings that should he padded well also.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow the climbers trail beside the water spigot for around 100 feet to the first boulder with Chris Hill's Arete V3 on it. For the rest of the boulders in this area, follow the faint trail uphill behind this boulder to the crest of the hill and the beginning of the other problems that are spread around a handful of boulders down into the gulley and back up the next small hil. Alternatively, you can follow the Beacon Rock Trail itself for around 50 yards to a couple of faint trails branching off to the left that will lead down to the Chris Hill Arete problem or uphill to the main cluster.
