Description Suggest change

This is the narrow canyon that runs north/south behind the Main Face/Windy Point rock (ends at the “frog pond”). Much of the cliffs are short and of poor quality, but there are some great sections, offering quality climbing in a secluded wind protected and shaded environment.

An easy 3rd class scramble is possible to the top of the west side of the canyon (and so access the top of Windy Point) just north of Sleeping Turtle Rock. There are several easy to reach chain-anchored rap stations along the top of STR, and a safe walk-off is possible from the top either west to the NW side of the base of Windy Point or N along the ridge top (joins the canyon north of The Narrows).

Getting There Suggest change

From the parking lot follow trail #100 to the top of the first hill (10 minuets) and turn left towards Frog Pond continue past Windy Point into the canyon....
