This is another piece of entertainment on the chossy, mossy buttress above Emerald Lake.
1) From the base of the gully, climb it. Continue as it turns into a steep chimney system, passing a an entertaining overhang. The pitch ends at a fixed wire. 45m, M4R.
2) Continue straight up past a snow patch and many possible variations to below a steep wall, hopefully finding a sling around a big block at 60m.
3) Climb the steep wall, walk along a wee snow arete, climb up and right into an obvious gully with a large tree on its right side. Follow the snow gully to the top, hopefully locating another sling on a tree as the angle eases. M4, 60m.
This is gully No. 1 in the Steeplechase beta photo.
Standard rock rack.
