Joe looking burly low down on Dacker Cracker

Description

Often overlooked for its neighbors farther right, Dacker Cracker is a great line, and though strenuous for the grade, it makes a great first dacks 5.10 due to the short length and great pro.

No move felt much easier than 5.9 though there are maybe some crux moves down low, and at a wider section right in the middle.

Highly suggested first route at the web to get a feel for the sustained jamming typical of the area.

Location

On the shorter wall to the left of the huge corner of Slim Pickins and Esethia. The obvious hand crack left of Its Only Entertainment. Walk off climbers left.

Protection

Standard rack. Takes stoppers rather well in addition to any camming device you can throw at it.

This route whose crux is close to the ground and strenuous to protect, is significantly harder than TR which is a better introduction to the crag.

This route is sustained, overhanging and in your face from the moment you step off the ground. Although very fun, I would not recommend it for the first 10 at the Spiders Web. TR is excellent and a better introduction.
