Description

Probably one of the better 5.9s at El Rito. The route starts on the the north end of the Pirate's Wall. After the mildly tricky start, continue up the arete, clipping bolts as you go. At top is an overhang, which appears trickier than it actually is, then the anchors above that.

Location

The far left (north) end of Pirate's wall, heading up the arete.

Protection

7 bolts to anchors.

Mark S. said this was a Gary Clark FA, and that he may have helped with it, so I added that info.

George,

I'm sure Gary put this one up, but probably with Lynn. Probably around 2001, give or take, like the rest of the easy lines they put up at that time. I certainly didn't do the FA---maybe third, and about all I remember is cleaning some time bombs on an early, but not first, ascent.

Thanks for the clarification, Mark. If you let me which other ones Gary put up, I'll keep filling in the FA info. Gary and Jason's .pdf guide doesn't have FA info. I'm surprised Gary hasn't discovered this website and posted up himself, to be honest.
