Description

Pueblo Canyon is the main tuff canyon running through the center of Los Alamos, and has interesting climbing both within the main portion of Pueblo Canyon, as well as in the smaller tributary side canyons, such as Acid Canyon and School Canyon. The rock quality is highly variable from crumbly to pristine.

A lot of climbing has been done in this area, including fun streambed bouldering, seldom-visited cracks up to 120' tall, occasionally formed short but fun mixed and ice routes, and a few recent sport climbs have been put up. Very little of the developed climbing so far has been documented (to date), but hopefully MountainProject will emerge as a good resource for sharing this information. Much potential for future climbs remain.
Go explore- have fun!
