It rained all morning and then it got dark at 4pm. Seriously though, NC is great. Some of the areas are oddly similar to the Grit. And Rob is a great guy to be around. I'm sure you'll meet him at some point. I'll speak for him and tell you to contact either of us if you have any questions about NC. | FLAG |

I'm moving to Greensboro. I went to UNCG for a year in 2010 on a university exchange, fell in love with the area and a pretty young lady whom the US govt is finally going to let me marry next May! I've spent a lot of time in the state getting in to all kinds of things but I only started climbing toward the end of my time at UNCG so I've only had one brief trip out to Pilot to actually climb. Every time I've visited since then it's been a mad rush to see friends, future family in law and all that good stuff so I'm still waiting for a proper NC climbing experience really.

Oh I love the weather, it makes multi pitching so much more exciting when you get a different season on each pitch. Genuinely, I will really miss Snowdonia and the Peak (I suppose...) but as I'm discovering via this place, Rob's blog and others there's definitely going to be plenty to keep me busy. Rob | FLAG |

| NCRob83 wrote: New posting about leaping lizards at rumbling bald Have you ever climbed at the Hanging Chain Wall? I'm super curious about it. Also, spot on about Doug Reed. I've been on a Reed rampage for this season every time I go to the New. Have had draws on the Racist since October...just haven't made it back since then to try and send. It's the best route I've been on there, hands down...and also the most sandbagged! Whatever though...it's incredible. | FLAG |

My skin was done after the first time up the route! Sounds like Blake is the guy to take - maybe he knows the secret to growing more skin between burns! I agree though, Spry Look is awesome. And Snakes and Spiders looks sick! | FLAG |

| Seems like there are a lot of good hard routes up there. Looks like there are quite a few mythical unrepeated/seldom repeated Reed routes huh? I'm in Chattanooga, but would love to head that way one cold cold weekend. | FLAG |

| "Anybody who knows the T Wall knows Suck Creek Road for its fast driving, strange locals, and kids that play on roofs near the street?" Yeehaw. MC always says that it ain't a trip to the TWall if all four tires don't come off the ground. Also, as an FYI, I believe Eddie's woman's name is spelled "Chloe" and that shed with the truck on top is on Mullens Cove Road. Otherwise, good post.....and interesting blog. | FLAG |
