Hey, new guy to the forum here. My family (4 sons, me and wife) was climbing The Gallery at JF recently, and a fellow next to us mentioned some really new routes to the left (SouthWest) of the Dog Walk, lots of them in the 5.6-8 range. Anyone know where these might be?

My 15yo twins are pretty comfortable up to 5.10+, but the wife and younger boys could really use some more routes in their wheelhouse when we're there.

They are at the far end of the wall, past "Kill Bill," around the south waterfall: mountainproject.com/scripts/Wh...

Perusing these new routes listed, it doesn't appear there are many of the grade you are seeking, maybe not worth the hike, instead I would offer that you try Giant City State park shelter one which has numerous climbs at that grade, though this is a mostly top rope area with a few trad leads, also Cedar Bluffs has some fun routes at that grade. jhn payne

Thanks for the advice. We've done Giant City several times, and we all prefer JF. There were 6 climbs on that new list under 5.10 that none of us have done, which is at least two trips worth, as well as the harder ones, which should keep the other two boys busy for a while, and give the rest of our crew something to shoot for.

We haven't been to Cedar yet, will have to try it out some time.
