Parking Lot Rock - West. "Solstice" (5.9d)** 95' 10 bolts to chain anchor. Located between "Norma's Book" and "Suburban Sprawl".
Starting just right of "Norma's Book", this is a bolted direct version of the R/X rared "Suburban Sprawl". (The lower crux sections of "Suburban" are unchanged)

  • Optional 1" gear past 3rd bolt.
  • Can be done with one 60m rope.
  • Anchor can be accessed via 5.5 traverse from near the top of "Norma's".

Fun, Dave!

I was foolish enough to lead Suburban Sprawl once, many years ago.

Be great to get a run on this new route. Who for the FA?

I was on Delay of Game last week and saw the new route. I thought ' I don't remember that being there!?' I'd like to give it a try and see if I have what it takes.
Thanks for all your hard work over the years.

I thought there was a bolting moratorium at the City. What happened to that?

There's not, but you do have to apply for permission to put a bolted route up.

Something Dave's done a time or two...

I wish he'd tell me when he's doing something like this. I'd like to learn how to place a bolt, Dave has more experience than anyone I know.

Here's a sample of my handywork so far..
