Looking for a little help on new ropes. In the market for a single, dry, 60m... and I am undecided on width as some of the new ropes seem to be stronger. Pretty all around uses, I mostly climb trad (alpine and crag), ice, and occasionally sport. I was wondering if people had any suggestions, advice, and or reviews good and bad.

Thanks for the help.

get 2 ropes .... a cheap one for cragging/multi ....

and a dry one for ice/alpine

why? .... if you use your "dry" rope for cragging/rock ... it wont be dry anymore after 100+ pitches

Suggestions? Cheap and fat. 10 mm or greater. Don't worry about all the ratings, impact forces, etc. You can get bogged down comparing statistics and become paralyzed with analysis. Cheap and fat. FrankPS
