New hangboard company, check us out! Royal Edge

Not sure how kosher self promotion is on this forum but wanted to see what you guys though of these hangboards a friend and I have started manufacturing. Our target market is intermediate climbers who don't want to dish out a ton of money but want to get some quality hangboard training in. We also wanted these to be a little more aesthetically pleasing than some of the other boards on the market so we've been making these out of several different species of wood to. I'm no expert on hangboarding, but if I didn't already have a wooden boards installed in the house, I'd buy one of these. Very simple and tasteful design. It'd be nice to have some kind of pinches on there, but my board doesn't have those either.

How deep are each of the edges?

Edit: nvm found it. 0.5, 0.75, and 1 inch

Would be cool to see what a sample workout would look like.

$70?!?!? You can make you own for a couple of bucks with plywood and wood strips. Just mark the plywood and screw the strips down.

To be fair, the non-exotic wood versions are $35. I made a similar three-edge hangboard (minus the sloper) out of plywood and oak strips for about $20, so I don't think its a bad deal. That said, I also made one out of scrap wood for $2 once...

It's cool and inexpensive...but the smallest edge is too big for most programs. 1/2" is almost 13mm...way too big for most people looking to use this training method.

You have to get it down to 10mm....better to have a 8mm or even a 6mm.

Awesome looking product, it would be nice to see you broaden your audience by making an easier one, harder one, then you could have a larger one that encompasses many hold types, more than the metolius wood boards. Keep on being awesome guys

I love that they are solid wood, and i love their simplicity as well. I wouldn't buy one though because i have a woodshop and all the skills, and from an engineering standpoint i see several places for improvement, primarily being that they don't look finger friendly and healthy. If they were refined i think they have potential... good effort.
