I want to buy a #6 Friend. I know that WC stopped making them for a while, then after the launch of the Helium Friend line they reintroduced them under the name "New Friend." A few retailers in the US had them for a while. I tried to buy one today from Back Country Gear, and they told me that it appears that Wild Country has stopped making them again and that the #5 and #6 will not be available again until 2013.

My question for those of you with awesome internet shopping skills or first hand knowledge is, where can I buy a #6 New Friend today? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You'll have to watch the for sale forums or craigslist- they discontinued the old #6 as I suspect they are prepping for the Helium version of it.

its a supply issue on the lobes for them- they buy enough for a certain number of cams and once they're gone, they have to wait until the next year. i suspect they had planned on having enough to get through 2012 and into 2013, but perhaps the Wide Boys boosted big cams sales for them!

Hey Sam! I actually called Mtn Tools today. They are out. They said that WC will be shipping them later this year / early next year. Mtn Tools currently has a waiting list for when they do get the them in.
