New drycoating technology?

Maybe this could make it on our ropes... and harnesses... and everything. That would be great.

It would probably make the ropes too slick to control without either a belay device with grooves or an assisted breaking device. I don't think this would fare well for dental floss doubles or twin ropes, which would probably benefit the most (ice climbing and glacier travel ropes). it would probably be great for the sheath on fatty gym ropes, though.
