| Word is to keep an eye out for next spring or later. Supposedly a range of small 4CUs. Where'd you find the picture? Whatever the case may be, I hope they're named Predators. The ensuing Alien vs. Predator threads would be less boring. | FLAG |

| dont know if it is real or not our dealer said there was going to be some exciting new products out at summer OR show. My bet was on a newly designed 4 lobe small cam..if this is true someone owes me a beer. I wonder what else they have up their sleeve? gri-gri type device? wall hauler/toothed pulley? putty nuts? fold-able Adirondack belay chairs with umbrella? the anticipation is killing me | FLAG |

| Looks like they're calling it the "Camalot X4". www.outdoor-industry-award.de/od-it/elenco-espositori/premie>>> "A durable, versatile 4-lobed camming unit, the Camalot X4 combines our patent-pending Stacked Axle Technology with a narrow head-width and integrated cam springs to offer an unmatched expansion range than any small cam on the market. Aluminum armor beads protect the cable stem without compromising flexibility. The Camalot X4 is the missing link in the Camalot family of Black Diamond." | FLAG |

| Interesting that the blurb mentions expansion range, but it looks to be single axle. The springs are coil springs and not flat like the aliens which means that gap in the lobe for the spring looks huge, wonder how that affects strength. I'm also curious as to how those trigger wires attach to the part that slides on the stem.. | FLAG |

Being the BD prides it's self on the reliability of their products, ISO 9001, and 6 Sigma cert, I doubt they are going to put something out there that isn't going to be RIGOROUSLY tested and works well. | FLAG |

The idea of alum "beads" is already been used for years successfully in MTB (originally) and road biking shift and cable housing. | FLAG |
