| Hello I will be in the Las Vegas area October 6-13, (from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada) and am interested in doing some climbing at Red Rocks (first time there). As I know no one in the area, and don't lead, I will be dependent on guiding services or extremely hospitable local lead climbers. I am in my mid 50's, very fit, and with intermediate level mountaineering experience. I second comfortably at 5.7, can push a bit harder, and enjoy both trad and sport. I am used to big alpine climbing days, so longer multi-pitch climbs are in the mix too. I will have the use of a rental car and plan to stay at a Vegas hotel. So, I guess I have two questions - who do you recommend as a guide, and are there any leaders out there who might be interested in climbing with a safe and very appreciative second for one or more dates in that time frame? Thanks for your help! Mike | |
