| It's looking like I'll be partnerless in red rocks for Sept. 27, 28 and 29. I'll have a medium rack, and probably ropes. (My partner for a forthcoming road trip will arrive on the night of the 29th, and we're shipping the ropes in to avoid killer baggage surcharges.) Sept. 27 could be either a half day or a full day, depending on when I fly in. The 28th and 29th could be full days.
Anyone around who feels like keeping a jet-lagged ex-pat company for some climbing? I'm happy to climb pretty much whatever you like, provided I can get myself up it. (I feel pretty confident leading most 9s and some 10s on gear without falls, although it varies a lot from area to area, of course. Following a bit harder and bolts a bit harder, naturally. Sadly, I don't have any aid skills beyond A0.)

| what are your thoughts on ancient herb medicine? :) | |

| In my youth, long ago, I was heavily influenced by the herbal traditions of central and south america, asia and even africa. I explored the multitude of variants with deep commitment and attention.
Since then, I have transitioned merely to a respectful observer, rather than a participant, in these rituals. Always after and never before or during climbing, however. | |

| I think I will still be around on the 27th and 28th with some family. At that time we might be into accessible sport climbing. | |

| Scott,
Thanks a lot for your reply. Fortunately, it looks like I've lucked into a partner already.
Assuming things work out as planned, we'll probably be at 13 Mile on the nights of 9/27 and 9/28, so if you happen to be around there and spot a short guy with graying, thinning brown hair who's wandering around in the grips of terminal jet lag - say hi. I'd be pleased to reward your response with beer!
