I'm new to the SoCal area and would like to score a good trad/sport partner.

Experience of course is always helpful, however if you're mostly competent on belay (learned from sport), I can help smooth out the rough edges. No need to know trad, but I would like someone willing to learn.

I am also looking for someone better than me so that I may further my skill.

My skills -

Sport - 10b (some 10c), project 10d and mid 11s. Dynamic belay.
Trad - 5.9, good with anchors and rope work. I have worked with my Vegas partner on FAs, and know how to keep my mouth shut.

I have honed my rope skills with guides in the Las Vegas area, and have turned out many safe climbers in the Red Rock area.

My availability is mostly weekends like everybody else. I could maybe do a short-notice weekday.

Thanks so much for your trust and time. :~)

Just after the opening crux on P2.
Where in SoCal are you located? I climb essentially everyday I do not work, which far more often than not means weekends. I would like to meet more people who are proficient in trad climbing. PM me if you want to meet up. I may be able to direct you to some other people who are looking for partners as well. John Ericson
