Hessigheimer Fels, peaceful views of the vinyards ...
Description
Spanning just beyond Stuttgart to the south, and Heilbronn to the north, the Neckar river cuts like a serpent through a lush valley. The area was sought after and settled by the Celtics, Romans, Napoleon and vintners.
There are only two crags here, but rock quality is good, and route numbers are high. The landscape is particularly beautiful at Hessigheim.
Getting There
TRAIN: To either Bessigheim (Hessigheim crags), or Weinstadt (Stetten) from Stuttgart.
