DescriptionMany long moderate gullies up the west slope opposite Mt. Willey. The gullies, though moderate, are long, consistant, and offer some stunning views of the notch. Getting TherePark on rt 302 on the east side and follow foot paths or bushwack to your climb. You will cross Saco river so be careful in spring conditions, but in winter the river is easy to manage. The route starts as an easy snow gully over boulders. After approximately 1000 ft the gully narrows and gets steeper. Climb six pitches of water ice 2 steps split between easy snow gullies.
