Description 

Mountain of the flying Phoenix. Super steep volcanic area. If you like pockets and slopers on steep rock, this is your place. There are some hard boulders here too. The range of climbing is 5.7 to 5.14d. If you are looking for a place to start Gangiwa is a must stop. Do not leave QDs on the rock over night. This is a big no no here. This area is a very holy place. So try not to disturb the other people around you.

Getting There 

From Hwy 151 follow to Lake Horai which is near Mikawakwai. Parking at the shrine area is only for shrine visitors but if it is not full it is OK. Parking across the river at the power station is OK too.
