Hey, I'm about to take a trip to Patagonia with my very old, not international, MSR stove. Does anyone know if you can get fuel canisters in Santiago? Can you also find MSR fuel or an equivalent that won't clog my old stove?

Also, any recommendations for La Carrera Austral region?

Kinda hard to say without knowing which MSR stove model or even what type of fuel it burns (you did mention canisters but then said your stove was "not international").....

Old post, but for those searching the forums, if you have white gas stove what you want is "bencina blanca" which you can usually buy at hardware stores in Chile. Comes in a clear plastic bottle like drinking water.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
