| This may be easy for some of you computer geeks but it took me a while to figure out so I thought I would post it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to save Mountainproject "Miniguide" Beta to your iPod Touch or to an iPhone that doesn't get service at your crag: Tired of printing out the Miniguides? Consider this: 1. Download a free PDF creator to your computer. I used PrimoPDF which works great, google it. This will give you the option to "Print to PDF" when you go to print out a Miniguide from mp. 2. Buy PDF reader for your iPod or iPhone ($0.99 at the app store). 3. "Print" a Miniguide from Mountainproject to a PDF and save it on your computer. 4. Open the app on your iPod or iPhone. In the bottom left corner there is a little icon, click on that. This will give you an internet address to plug into your web browser on your computer. Punch that in and a screen appears to upload PDFs to your iPod or iPhone. 5. Viola! The PDFs appear on the iPod or iPhone for easy recall. Caveat: I have an iPod Touch, but I assume the process would be the same for an iPhone. Anyone know? | FLAG |
