Mountaineering in Bend area

I just moved to Oregon from the North East. I have tons of trad multi-pitch experience, but little alpine and no mountaineering experience. I am knowledgeable about equipment and technique, there is just not any mountaineering in NY. I have boots and a mountaineering axe, ropes and prussiks and 'biners.

I'd like to go up one or more of the Sisters this winter, but I really don't know what is out there. I think that'd be a good choice, but maybe there are better route options out there.

I'm ultra psyched on getting out, I just want to be smart about it. If anyone is looking for a good, fit, partner who is good about staying busy on the route, please post back on this!
