INTRODUCTION

The highest and most difficult mountain of the entire Coast Range . 7,000 feet of glacier climbing followed by a 900 foot summit tower at almost 4,000 meters (13,000ft). Temperatures cold enough for plastic boots can occur during the summer.

INTRODUCTIONThe standard route, if there is one. Allen Steck, of the famous Steck-Salathe on Yosemite's Sentinel Rock, was part of a big Sierra Club expedition. They float-planned to a lake fifteen kilometers away from where Mike King lands today.
