Description Suggest change

This is a big boulder with good problems on its backside.

Around the back of the boulder, you will find near vertical climbing into a slopey topout. These climbs will have you twisting your hips, so bring your dancing shoes.

While many hikers and bikers have passed by, my experience at this boulder has mostly been a party of one. I can't find any boulders that fit the description, so I am sharing in an effort to get the party started.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow trail off Lakeside Road to three way intersection and the obvious, big boulder.

Park at the 2 car pulloff on what I believe is Granite Street in Foxboro (rough GPS coordinates: 42°03'37.9"N 71°16'06.6"W). Walk straight in past the guard rail, you will come down a small hill, turn right, follow that trail for about a quarter mile, and then turn a sharp left as it intersects with the next trail. Within two minutes, the boulder should appear on the right side of the trail. It is at the intersection of two other trails. The best climbing is around the back. I will update the GPS the next time I am out.

If you start from Sidewinder and make your way to the parking lot listed above, you should find this boulder (hopefully).
