The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Mother Lode Wall faces west, so it gets morning shade and afternoon sun.

Getting There

This formation is WSW of Desert Queen Dome. From the trailhead 3 miles north of the start of the Geology Tour Road, head east to a wash and then go south. See a guidebook for a map.
