INTRODUCTION

The region of peaks south of Bella Coola and 70 kilometers northwest of Mount Waddington. Monarch Mountain (3,533m/11,590'), Cerberus Mountain(10,300'), and the Jacobson Peaks near Ape Lake.

The interior road to Bella Coola, through Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, is a worthy adventure. The Sierra Club used to have a lodge located near the confluence of the Atnarko and Talchako Rivers because the climbing was so good. For ice climbers who like crazy, Hunlin Falls is close.
