BETA PHOTO: From Provincial Parks of Northern British Colombia...

The region of peaks south of Bella Coola and 70 kilometers northwest of Mount Waddington. Monarch Mountain (3,533m/11,590'), Cerberus Mountain(10,300'), and the Jacobson Peaks near Ape Lake.

The interior road to Bella Coola, through Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, is a worthy adventure. The Sierra Club used to have a lodge located near the confluence of the Atnarko and Talchako Rivers because the climbing was so good. For ice climbers who like crazy, Hunlin Falls is close.

Go to John Scurlock's for the best photos of these remote mountains.
