Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

This area contains the climbs on the frontside of Mislaid Rock. In the shade for half the day, it offers great climbing on good rock (early ascents will clean them up just a bit).

Head up around to the right in a gully for about 100 feet and The Downclimb will be on the left. SSDDC is located on a smaller formation to the west called Misplaced Rock.

Getting There

10 minutes SE of ryan campground, the middle formation of three set against the hillside, distinguishable by a large "halfdome" shaped boulder on the upper right.
