Middlemarch Rd vs MiniVan?

Likely attempting a Fall trip out to Cochise. Driving out I-10 from TX and planning on camping in the West Stronghold.

So here's the question: The new Family Mover / Road Trip vehicle is a shiny-new MiniVan ($$). How would the Van fare on Middlemarch? Would I just hate life as the new vehicle gets the crap kicked out of it or is Middlemarch more flat, dusty road rather than a pot hole washboard hell?

Scrounging up another vehicle is a possibility but the MPG and Loadhauling of the minivan is easier.

Cheers

Been there twice in the recent past with rental cars, and middlemarch isn't a problem. However, I'd think twice before attempting to go as far as the parking area for What's My Line and stuff over there. Likely Isle of You would be ok, but the end of the line gets a bit rough.

BTW there were a shitload of border patrol on middlemarch. Drink your beer and smoke your joints at the crag, not on the road.

Middle march should be just fine in a minivan. Be careful on the off camber turns as people have rolled their vehicles. You might find some deeper holes heading down towards the west, past the sheepshead but I have taken them all slow and made it in a Forester, but it was not new and you would end up with some pin stripping. I am working hard on finally producing a definitive guidebook for the area so if you need any help please write me and I will do my best to get some info.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
