A view of Lunch Box Rock with parts of the steep s...

Description

Middle Solitude is essentially all the cliffs on the West side of the canyon in between Lower Solitude and Higher Solitude. The first section starts just as Lower Solitude ends on the east side.

Getting There

Hike to Lower Solitude, and then just as that cliff band starts on the east side, head into the ravine and hike up that until you reach the first cliff band. No trail through that area yet, so it is a little bushwacky. Or, for Lunch Box Rock, hike the regular Higher Solitude trail, and that will take you right past the formation.
