Description Suggest change

This area is recommended for Spring, Fall, and Winter. In summer it's shady at the start, but since this is the tallest crag in the Frankenjura it rises above the trees and gets pretty warm up there. In winter the leaves are gone and the sun shines nicely on the rock.
The crag is an older crag and is quite intimidating. It also looks kind of like a POS, but there's really only two routes which a chossy: Kotzbrocken and Total legal. The height of the crag lends itself to the possibility of doing multi-pitch here (ie. Die Gelbe).
The rock, as is implied by its intimidating resonance, offers mostly harder routes. There is one 5.10, Schlesinger Weg which follows the dihedral to the left of the roof, and one 5.11 (Die Gelbe). The rest are 5.12 and 5.13, with a total of 16 routes.

Getting There Suggest change

From Streitberg, drive towards Muggendorf and after 1km turn into the big hiker's parking lot on the left. Hike up the path called "Lange Tal" and after 50m take the trail to the left. Follow this for 150m up to the crag.
