Maple conditions.

Anyone know what the conditions are like in maple right now? Snow line?

I'm headed down tomorrow, I'll let you know.

As of 10 days ago, the road was clear of snow, but the gate was closed (by the bridge). There was almost no snow in the campground. There was snow on the trail to Pipedream.

It will be perfect conditions on any of the sunny walls and climbable at most shady walls.

When does the road/gate/campground usually open up? Thinking about possibly heading there in mid-May.

Last year the gate opened up the beginning of May and we were camping there around May 11th. I don't know if this is scheduled or they just open it up when they feel like it.

Last year, we called the FS and they were helpful for planning.

The campgrounds are open, but not for reservations just yet. The old first come, first served.

Any idea what is dry at this point? Worth coming down for the weekend? Looks to be warm this week and weekend.

I went yesterday and its dry pretty much everywhere. This weekend will be perfect.
