Spectacular views abound when you boulder in the M...

Description

In and around the town of Mammoth Lakes there are a number of bouldering areas. Some are convenient to get to and climbable all year around, whilst others you'll need to hike to, and only accessible in the summer months.

Whilst the quality of the bouldering is no where near the same as the fairly close by Happy and Sad areas, the Sherwin Plateau, or the Buttermilks, they are convenient if you are in Mammoth.

There is no real bouldering guide, so each of the areas described, has information about how to reach the area, and possible some of the more obvious problems listed.

Getting There

Mammoth Lakes is situated a few miles west (on the 203) from the 395, about 40 miles north of Bishop.
