Any helpful hints on cheap lodging in Mallorca? We will be splitting our time half and half between DWS and sport climbing so something relatively close to the east coast would be nice, maybe near Santanyi or something. Any recs about hostels to stay at, or a cheapish villa to rent for 2 people (me and the lady) travelling on a budget? Even just general areas you think would be good to stay at that you know from experience are convenient for climbers would be awesome.

Also, what kind of gear is needed to set up water exits? Are there bolts at most of the popular clifss you can just clip a rope ladder into or do I need to bring a small trad rack?

We are not very extreme either-- we will only be climbing at areas with safety grades of S0, maybe an S1 or two if we feel saucy, and usually keep it to 5.10s or so and want easy water exits. I have the guidebook and we will likely be climbing cala barques, cala santinyi, cala sa nau or similar places with easy exits and minimal danger. We will have a car though so getting around the island wont be a problem itd just be nice to be nearby to the places we will be DWSing at the most.

Any favorite DWS areas of yours you want to recommend with swim out exits and many safety grades at the magical S0?

Anyone been to Mallorca in June? How was the water temp for DWS? I am debating if I need to buy a springsuit/wetsuit to deal with the temps or if I can get by without one since Ill just be splashing in and getting out right away for another burn. I think the sea temp average in June is usually around 66.
