Seconds before onsighting Gun Smoke V3, Joshua Tree bouldering

I haven't been there in a couple months and not sure of the conditions this time of the year because of lack of rain fall. But my question is regarding the fields and trees, not the climbing. I'm possible going there this monday to take engagement photos for my save the date post cards. Are the fields right now pretty bare/brown or lush and green? Hows the Creek near the climbers trail by the trees. last time I was there it was pretty much nothing and bare. 1st time going there I remember it was really flowing.

A month ago it was a brushfire ready to happen. The Creek is down to nothing and the only place for actual water is the bigger pools which are suspect at best. Sorry for the bad news.. :(

Honestly if you want something a bit more picturesque, try the Iceberg area pool, way up the creek by Lake Malibou. There's a nice clearing with an oak tree and good expanse of water for a back drop. Hike in from the Lake/ housing development instead.

I wouldn't take a picture for myself at this time. I went hiking down there today and man it was dead and deader. Hardly any water and everything is brown.
